To give you a clue about âSweeney Toddâ, some productions utilized the title âSweeny Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Streetâ. It appears Benjamin Barker, wrongly imprisoned in Victorian England for a crime he didnât commit, wishes revenge. Barker (lusciously played by Depp) will become Sweeney Todd and opens a Fleet Street barber store. Whilst he was in jail his spouse and child experienced violence at the hand of the horrific judge (Alan Rickman), incorporating fuel to Barkerâs fire.
